FAQ - Batteries and Charging
Proper charging is the key to the reliable operation of KLOKI watches. In this section, you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding battery life, charging issues, recommended practices, and tips on how to extend battery life. You will learn what to do when the watch does not hold a charge as long as you expect, how to charge it correctly, and what affects energy consumption throughout the day.
If you are having trouble charging your watch, we recommend trying a different charging source as the first step. It may be that the adapter or port you are currently using is not providing the necessary voltage, which is why the watch is not charging properly.
It's good to know that the batteries of electronic devices drain even when they are not actively in use. Although the watch does not search for location while idle (which saves battery), communication with the server and other background processes still occur, consuming energy.
If you do not use the watch for an extended period, we recommend turning it off to reduce battery consumption. Even with the device turned off, there may be a slight decrease in charge, which is normal.
For proper and safe charging of the KLOKI watch, please follow these instructions:
- Charge the watch with the magnetic cable that was included in the package.
- Connect the cable to a USB power source with parameters 5V/2A (e.g., a phone charger or a USB port on a computer).
- Check the magnetic connector for dirt – clean it if necessary.
- The ideal temperature for charging is between 0–45 °C.
- The watch does not support fast charging, so do not use powerful chargers designed for laptops or tablets.
If the watch still isn't charging, try a different USB source or replace the charging cable.
The battery life depends on how you use it:
- With regular use, it lasts approximately 2 days
- With intensive use (e.g., taking photos, recording, frequently sending location), it may drain within a day
In standby mode, without active use, it can last up to 4 days
Try these tips to help save battery:
1. Change the location sending frequency
- Open the Findee Kids app
- Go to Watch Settings
- Select Location Sending and set it to every 30 minutes, for example
2. Shorten the display backlight time
In the app settings, adjust the time after which the display automatically turns off – the shorter the time, the lower the energy consumption.
3. Turn off the pedometer if you don't need it
If you are not tracking your steps, you can turn off this feature to save battery.
4. Limit the use of demanding applications
Taking photos, recording videos, or playing with apps shortens battery life – we recommend using these activities in moderation.
To ensure that the watch functions reliably and the battery achieves maximum longevity, it is important to follow a few basic principles when charging:
1. Use the original charging cable
The KLOKI watch charges using a magnetic cable, which is included in the package.
Connect the cable to a standard USB power source with parameters 5V / 2A.
2. Check the magnetic connector
Before charging, make sure the connector is clean and free of dust or dirt that could interfere with proper contact. If the watch is not charging, try repositioning the cable or use a different USB port (for example, on a computer).
3. Charge at the correct temperature
The recommended temperature range for charging is 0–45 °C. In extremely cold or hot environments, charging may be less effective.
4. Do not use fast chargers
The watch does not support fast charging technology, so do not use chargers with higher power (e.g., 9V or more). This could damage the battery or shorten its lifespan.
