Most kids smartwatches with a SIM card work like a small mobile phone. You buy the watch, get a SIM card and a plan from a mobile operator, then put the SIM in and set it all up. KLOKI works differently, and it’s worth explaining why, because the watch’s whole approach to safety rests on it.
The SIM is already inside, and your child has no number of their own
We fit the SIM at the factory, and it’s encrypted. No trip to a phone shop, nothing to set up on the watch. Just download the Findee Kids app, scan the QR code and approve your contacts.
What matters more is what happens during a call. Every call, incoming and outgoing, goes through our secure switchboard, which only connects contacts you’ve approved in the app. Nobody knows the watch’s real number, so your child can’t give it out to anyone and no stranger can get through. That’s also why you can’t put your own SIM in the watch. Calls would then bypass the switchboard, and the protection would be gone.
What each plan includes
Stay in touch covers the essentials: your child’s location in the app, unlimited voice messages, photos from the watch and an SOS button that sends an alert to your app.
Track & Talk does everything Stay in touch does, plus 20 minutes of calls a month. When your child presses SOS, the watch calls up to three contacts in turn until someone answers.
Whether the essentials are enough depends on how your family keeps in touch. Lots of children get by with voice messages, and what you mainly need is to know where they are. If you want to hear your child live, and for SOS to actually ring your phone, go for Track & Talk.
Why 20 minutes
According to our survey, children use around 11 minutes of calls a month on average, so 20 minutes leaves plenty to spare. Calls from the watch tend to be short: “I’m at school now”, “Training’s over”, “Where are you?”.
Both incoming and outgoing calls use minutes, because every call is connected through our switchboard. Calls are billed by the second.
Voice messages are unlimited, and the SOS button still sends an alert to the app even when the minutes have run out.
You can buy extra minutes in the app at any time (Watch Settings → Watch Subscription → Buy Additional Minutes). 10 extra minutes cost 20 Kč, €1.50 (Slovakia, France), €2 (Germany) or 499 Ft (Hungary). They’re valid until the end of the month.
What it costs
You can pay for the subscription monthly, or in advance for one or three years. The longer the period, the lower the price per month. Prices vary by country.

- The monthly subscription has no commitment. You can cancel it in the app whenever you like.
- The yearly and 3-year subscriptions are paid up front in one go, which is why they cost less. If the watch breaks, we’ll move the subscription over to the new watch. When the period ends, it renews at the same price, and you can turn off automatic renewal in the app.

Abroad
In every country, the SIM automatically connects to the network with the best coverage there. The watch works in 140 countries: in 69 of them with calls too (the whole of Europe), and in another 71 with location and voice messages. Roaming costs nothing, and you keep paying the same subscription.
Frequently asked questions
What does the subscription include? The SIM card, mobile data, running the secure switchboard and the Findee Kids app. You don’t pay anything extra for data or roaming.
Can I change my plan later? You can upgrade in the app. With a yearly or 3-year subscription, you can switch to Track & Talk with the same subscription length and only pay the difference for the time that’s left. You can move to a lower plan or to monthly payments once your prepaid period ends.
Do I pay for data? No, data is unlimited and included in the price.
How many phones can track the watch? As many as you like. Each watch has one “owner”, who manages the subscription, and other family members can join with limited access. You can save up to 10 contacts on the watch.
